Back in 1955, Albert Cook, his wife Eleanora (known as Cookie) and their three young sons started their plumbing company out of their home with only one truck and a slogan Dependable Service at Reasonable Prices.

With a prospering business in 1957, Albert moved his firm to a storefront building at 1013 East Parkway, across from the old Fairgrounds, Merry-Go-Round, once known as Liberty land.
As business continued to grow, the Cooks moved to a larger location at 2101 Central Avenue in 1964, which formerly housed the Bluff City Lumber Company.
